Taking place on Saturday 26th September 2026 at Popham Airfield, the STOL UK Championships will showcase Short Take-Off and Landing (STOL) flying, with pilots and specialist aircraft demonstrating impressive slow-flight handling, short ground rolls and precision spot landings. The event starts on the Friday, with aircraft arrivals and carrier deck setup from 13:00 to sunset. Saturday is Competition day from 08:00 to sunset. Sunday is practice and training day with aircraft departures from 08:00 to 13:00.

As part of our support, we’re delighted to celebrate the winning LAA members and aircraft competing in this exciting new championship.

Introducing the LAA Trophies

In celebration of the winners across the STOL UK Championship classes, we are proud to present the ‘LAA Members Trophy’ to the winners of the following classes:

• Adventure Class
• Sport Class
• Vintage, Classic & Military Class

We’ll also be providing branded prizes for class winners, recognising the skill, dedication and passion of those taking part.

We’re looking forward to supporting competitors, celebrating their achievements and being part of this exciting event for STOL flying in the UK.
