Air Command Unveils 100 HP Gyroplane
New Integrity Model Combines A Polaris Engine With A Reworked Gearbox
A seven year development effort reached the show floor at EAA AirVenture 2026 in Oshkosh, where Air Command introduced it's latest gyroplane, Integrity. The aircraft pairs a new 100 HP Polaris RZR engine with a redesigned gearbox built to handle its higher RPM. With flight testing scheduled to begin in September, the project is now moving from development toward the next phase.
Air Command President Joe Covelli said the Integrity incorporates safety and comfort improvements throughout the aircraft, including a stronger frame and a tail section 30% larger than the company’s legacy design.
The fiberglass components have also been completely redesigned, giving the gyroplane a refreshed appearance while supporting its larger and heavier configuration.
At the center of the project is Polaris’ 1,000 cc, two cylinder, four stroke engine, producing 100 HP at 8,000 RPM. The fuel injected, water cooled powerplant uses an ECU controlled fly by wire throttle and drives a pusher propeller, with an approximate weight of 130 pounds.
Making the engine installation possible required reworking the gearbox. After Rotax discontinued the 582 engine and E gearbox, Air Command retained the gearbox concept and redesigned its internal components with testing and vibration specialists to handle the higher power and RPM.
Called the K Box, the unit is designed as a drop in replacement for existing E Boxes and can help extend their service life. With testing only weeks away, Integrity represents Air Command’s latest effort to bring new propulsion and updated design thinking to the gyroplane market.
